For Veterans
Be part of our mission - and make a difference

At AccessPoint RI, we take pride in our mission having impact on those we support, their families and our employees.  We believe the powerful words contained in our mission statement - dignity, respect, equality and choice - have meaning that resonates with veterans who have served our country.

Those with military experience can find a rewarding career working at AccessPoint.  Our agency’s focus is to insure that people with disabilities have opportunities to learn, explore and become part of the fabric of their community. Through your military experience you’ve developed diverse skills and perspectives. We look for potential job candidates who have an interest in using their experience to foster growth opportunities for the people we support.

AccessPoint provides an array of benefits that can supplement or complement veteran’s benefits.  We offer vacation, sick, holiday and personal time, tuition reimbursement, health insurance and life insurance.  Schedules include full and part time with shifts available days, evenings, overnights and weekends.

 Some of the positions available:

Our entry-level positions are for Direct Support Professionals. These positions have room for advancement and help develop valuable skills and experience for diverse career paths within and beyond our organization.

Employees at AccessPoint work in a variety of settings.

Staff in our Residential Programs (group homes and apartments) provide support and encouragement for people in their homes and in the activities they wish to pursue from their homes.  Our Day Service and Community Supports services offer opportunities to work with people exploring what is available to them in their communities, developing life dreams and working towards community inclusion.

Cornerstone School has positions available for certified teachers with a special education endorsement or certified instructional assistants to work with children from toddlers through 21 years old.

One of the priorities at AccessPoint is to assist those we support to gain employment through our Supported Employment services.  The skills attained by veterans are traits that all people need to be successful in a job.  You can assist people with disabilities to discover untapped abilities and get their first job or develop new skills to advance in their chosen field.
